About her
I recently divorced (no blame - just drifted apart) after a 27 year marriage that I now realise stiffled me and isolated me from friendships and activities that I am now free to pursue. Sadly due to thoses cricumstances I have few friends with which to do that, despite being relativly outgoing, freindly and humourous. I also don't know the rules of dating any more - things have changed in nearly 30 years. I am young at heart and enjoy good health and fitness. I like mountain biking, hiking, - I love the Yorkshire Moors and the Dales. I play guitar badly and sing a little and can also weild a paintbrush and a camera quite well (all my opinion of course) I am a frustrated unpublished crime/comedy fiction writer and woudl like to meet someone who could encourage me to improve and percivere. I can cook a bit and enjoy healthy eating and the "occcasional" fry up, but would also quite like to find someone to share meals out with and a pint or glass or two of wine. I'm also a bit of a classic car nut - but don't worry I haven't got a garage full of old crocks. I don't mind a bit of gardening or DIY to relax, or just sit out in the garden in the sun with a good book and a bottle.
Musically my tastes are wide and varied - everything from classical to modern day, but my daughter tuned me into modern Country Music when we toured the USA a couple of years back.
Religiously I am open minded, but more spiritual than religious these days. I am more into well being and alternative medicines too. I think we all owe it to ourselves to live the best lives we can as we are only here once, so far as I know. So, in the words of Kasey Musgrave, I'm saying goodbye to the people that I feel are real good at wasting my time. I'm searching for that deeper well.

I'd like to meet a woman who is friendly, doesn't take herself too seriously and lives life as it should be lived, with enthusiasm. She must be honest and communicative, not arguementative nor into mind games. Someone who can say what they mean and tell me what's wrong, because I can't handle that "Nothing" thing when there is clearly something wrong. Somebody who is confident and self sufficient, but knows how to act like a lady and allow me to show affection and take care of them.
Ideally the perfect lady would have common interests that we can share and do together, although I'm not against learning new skills and having new experiences - I'll have a go at almost anything.
I'm not hung up too much on looks or age as long as you are fit and healthy and have a positive outlook on life. If your role model is Eeyore then you're not for me.
